We are pleased to report that Radio Astronomy Software Defined Receiver (RASDR) has graduated from incubation to become a fully fledged Myriad-RF project. It is just a little over 6 months since the project joined Myriad-RF, but it should be noted that it had been in development for some time prior to this and was then at a fairly advanced stage.

The decision to graduate RASDR was made following review with the project team of outputs, progress to date and the project roadmap. At present this is a reasonably informal process, but there are plans to develop a simple set of common criteria, that will help to maintain standards and minimise risk, without introducing needless bureaucracy.

To find out more about RASDR see the introductory blog post and recent update (includes details of how those interested can obtain their own kit).
