Welcome to FreeSRP

When we heard about Lukas Lao Beyer’s software-defined radio project, FreeSRP, it’s fair to say that we were suitably impressed. Creating an affordable SDR platform that covers 70MHz to 6GHz is no mean feat!

We are delighted to announce that FreeSRP has now joined the Myriad-RF family of projects. Welcoming Lukas and FreeSRP, Ebrahim Bushehri, Myriad-RF founder and CEO of Lime Micro said, “Given Lukas’ achievement, evident skill and with the FreeSRP hardware, FPGA design, firmware and host software all being open source, we were keen to do what we could to support Lukas and FreeSRP. It is clear that he is very much aligned with the Myriad-RF vision of democratising wireless innovation and we look forward to working with him in support of this.”

Lukas commented, “Myriad-RF is home to many open source hardware and software projects involving software-defined radio — this includes the LimeSDR platform, and the SDR driver and framework packaging projects. By joining MyriadRF, I hope to bring the FreeSRP to a wider community and make the project more accessible to external contributors and to end users. I also hope that the FreeSRP will be able to add more diversity to the available Myriad-RF hardware platforms.”

FreeSRP is currently funding on Crowd Supply and with just a few days to go, we’d encourage you to pledge your support. Any questions can be directed to either the campaign page or forum.
