A new release of the Lime Suite software, which provides drivers, utilities and APIs for the LimeSDR family of boards, has been made. The v20.07.1 release includes a number of improvements to the Lime Suite library, with perhaps the most notable being a configuration change for LimeSDR Mini boards, which addresses issues including intermittent failures when running LimeQuickTest. As such all LimeSDR Mini owners are strongly urged to upgrade.

Other improvements include various fixes to the LimeSuiteGUI utility, while applications which use SoapySDR are now be able to get actual supported sample rates instead of static limits. A fix is also included for GNU Octave support, related to warnings when loading the Lime Suite library.

This release is also the first to include support for the LimeRFE RF front-end.

Now that Ubuntu 20.04 has been out for a little while we have started packaging builds for this and at the same time stopped packaging for 16.04. Hence Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 users can now get the latest Lime Suite packages via the SDR Drivers PPA. Binary builds of the Lime Suite DLL, together with LimeQuickTest and LimeSuiteGUI, are available via GitHub.

However, please note that at the time of writing the Pothosware Windows installer has not been updated and other Windows applications will similarly need to be updated. Likewise, it may take a little while before packages are updated in other Linux distributions.
